Hurschell David Hole of Decatur, Ill., and formerly of New Richmond, died Wednesday at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center. He was 81. After graduating from New Richmond High School in 1948, he went to work on the railroad. After three years, he was drafted into the Army in the Transportation Corps where he served as an engineer in Korea. Upon his honorable discharge, he returned to the railroad where he would work for almost 40 more years until his retirement in 1992. He was born May 24, 1930, to Virgil and Lucy (Weikel) Hole.  Survivors include: sons, David (Chris) Hole of Normal, Ill., Mike (Angela) Hole of Huntsville, Ala., and DeMetryus Frye of Decatur, Ill.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Brothers, Lelan and Marin, and sisters, Rita and Zetta, are deceased. A celebration of life service is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel, 4020 N. Water St., Decatur, with the Rev. Jerrold D. Clonch officiating. Burial will be at Camp Butler National Cemetery at Springfield, Ill. Friends may call 3-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
